  5. The Decode Shell Extension v3.1 adds a Decode menu item to your 
  6. Windows 95 or NT 4.0 Explorer context menu (right mouse button menu)
  7. and File menu.  It is visible only when exactly one file(not folder)
  8. is selected.  For more information, or the latest version visit:

  11. To use it, first use your E-MAIL software and the File/Save menu to
  12. save the message to a text file.  Then use the Windows Explorer to 
  13. select the file, right-click and pick the Decode menu.
  14.  
  15. The extension will then analyze the file and if it detects a 
  16. UUENCODED, BinHex, XXE, Base64(MIME), plain text or quoted-printable
  17. encoded file, it will prompt you if you want to decode it (and tell 
  18. you the file name).  To change the file name or where it is saved, 
  19. use the button provided.  If a file name is missing, the extension 
  20. will use a default name.

  31. The newest enhancements include better detection of encoding format,
  32. stripping of paths from the file name (if found) and handling of 
  33. multi-part attachments (previously concatenated) and multiple 
  34. attachments in one file.  MIME(Base64) encoded files will now be 
  35. decoded even if no file name can be detected.

  43. Search and Replace for Windows 95/NT 3x (shareware) - Search and
  44. Replace looks through multiple files for a string and can also
  45. replace it with another string.  It can search subdirectories and
  46. ZIP files and do case sensitive or insensitive searches. Extensive
  47. support for regular expression (egrep) search & replacement includes
  48. operations that span more than one line, insertion of the path &
  49. filename during replacements, and incrementing number replacements.
  50. Binary search & replace is also available.  You can specify multiple
  51. include & exclude file masks as well as filters based on file date &
  52. size.  Precise control over replacements is available through
  53. multiple confirmation options and a built-in context viewer that
  54. allows you to view replacements in-context before they are made.  An
  55. easily understood script editor makes frequent &/or complex
  56. multi-step search/replace operations a snap to prepare.  Script
  57. operations include a boolean expression evaluator that provides
  58. advanced decision making to determine which are processed by the
  59. script and full control over program options settings.  The internal
  60. context viewer includes a build-in editor for editing text files.
  61. Other functions include: "Touch" files (change time/date stamp);
  62. Preservation of original file date during replacements; Replacements
  63. on backup path files instead of the originals; Output reports to
  64. monitor operations; Built-in editor for editing text files; Full
  65. compliment of command line switches; Shell extensions for the
  66. Win95/NT version to launch Search & Replace from Explorer and the
  67. Find Menu; and more. Separate executables for Win3x and Win95/NT and
  68. a detailed help file with examples are included. Complete German

  71. Directory Toolkit for Windows 95/NT (shareware) - A multipurpose
  72. directory and file utility that provides features missing from
  73. Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 or higher. It displays single
  74. directory lists or side-by-side directory comparisons using color
  75. coding for alike, different, or missing files. Directory comparisons
  76. can be based on dates or a binary file analysis of actual file
  77. content. You can copy, move, & rename files while retaining long
  78. filenames and six built-in synchronize functions simplify updating
  79. directories. Built-in archive functions, with Explorer shell
  80. extensions, let you create & manage ZIP archives from Explorer and
  81. Directory Toolkit can serve as your primary archive manager for
  82. supported archives. File operations (copy, move, delete, rename) and
  83. directory comparison functions work seamlessly on files in archives,
  84. e.g., no need to manually extract files first. Other features
  85. include Explorer compatible OLE drag n Drop; Split/Concatenate files
  86. to/from diskettes; Encode/Decode UUENCODED, Base64(MIME), Binhex
  87. files (Decode also includes printable, 7 bit unencoded, & plain
  88. text); An integrated file comparison viewer for a color coded
  89. display of the actual differences in files; Safe physical sort of
  90. directories; Touch files (change time/date stamp); Find duplicate
  91. files on a drive; Open files and launch applications; Multiple
  92. include/exclude file masks and the ability to include/exclude files
  93. based on size and date; Command line switches to automate
  94. comparisons & synchronize operations via batch files; User
  95. configurable output file and print function to create reports of
  96. single and comparison directory lists; Automatically detects & runs
  97. (optionally) setup programs in archives; File numbering during
  98. rename, move, & copy operations that allow you to number files
  99. sequentially based on adjustable sort order and a user defined

  102. Shortcut Doctor for Windows 95/NT (shareware) - Shortcut Doctor
  103. allows you to check all your links/shortcuts and see which contain
  104. targets which can no longer be found.  You can then delete the
  105. shortcuts, resolve them or replace all shortcuts pointing to a
  106. certain drive or directory with another (after validation of new
  107. path is made). Individual shortcuts can be edited and all shortcuts
  108. on a drive can be displayed, regardless of whether they are valid or
  109. not.  CD-ROM drives or network drives can be ignored during
  110. processing. Cost: $10.

  112. HexView for Windows 95/NT (freeware) -  HexView allows you to view,
  113. print, print preview of any file as a Hex Dump.  HexView is
  114. intended as a free companion program to our utility, Search and
  115. Replace. However, it is a standalone application and you are free
  116. to use it as you see fit.  The source code (C++ using MFC 4.x or
  117. higher) can be downloaded for free from http://www.funduc.com.

  119. INI to Registry for Windows 95/NT (freeware) - This program works 
  120. well with any program that relies on .ini files.  It can read the 
  121. contents of any INI file and load them into the Windows 95/NT 
  122. registry.  That way programs which previously used INI files can 
  123. read the old data from the registry.  The program is free.  The 
  124. source code is available for 25.  Please E-MAIL info@funduc.com for

  127. Decode Windows 95 Shell Extension (freeware) - This Explorer 
  128. extension provides a subset of the decoding features available in 
  129. Directory Toolkit.  It allows you to decode a UUENCODED, XXENCODED, 
  130. BinHex or Base64(MIME) file by simply right-clicking on it in the 
  131. Explorer and selecting Decode from the menu.  It supports multiple 
  132. attachments, multi-part files (already concatenated), XXENCODED and 
  133. User (table) encoded files in addition to UUENCODED, Base64(MIME) 
  134. and BinHex (Mac format) files.
